Terms of Service

Last updated May 28, 2026

These terms apply to Shopify merchants who install Appolar and use it to build, publish, and operate native mobile apps for their Shopify store.

1. Who you’re agreeing with

Appolar is operated by Moe Talaat (“we,” “us,” “our”) as a Shopify App Store-distributed SaaS. These terms apply to Shopify merchants who install Appolar from the Shopify App Store and use it to build, publish, and operate native mobile apps for their Shopify store.

2. What Appolar does

Appolar lets a Shopify merchant configure a native iOS and Android app for their store through a visual builder inside the Shopify admin, compiles signed binaries (.ipa and .aab) under the merchant's own Apple Developer and Google Play developer accounts, and submits those binaries to the App Store and Google Play. The platform also supports push notifications, scheduled campaigns, and optional analytics integrations.

3. What Appolar is not

  • We are not the publisher of your mobile app. It appears on the App Store and Play Store under your developer account, brand, and bundle ID.
  • We are not a payment processor. All transactions happen through Shopify checkout under Shopify's payment terms.
  • We are not a content host. Catalog content, customer accounts, orders, and inventory live in Shopify.

4. Your accounts and credentials

To submit your app to the stores, you provide your own Apple App Store Connect API key and Google Play service account credentials. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining active Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console memberships.
  • The accuracy of the credentials you upload to Appolar.
  • Compliance with Apple and Google's developer agreements, content guidelines, and app review policies.

Appolar uses your credentials solely to submit builds and updates on your behalf. We do not list, modify, or take any other action on your developer accounts without your explicit trigger from the Appolar admin.

5. Pricing and billing

Appolar's pricing model is presented to you in the Shopify admin at install time and on the Appolar pricing page. By approving a charge in the Shopify admin, you authorize Shopify to bill your Shopify account on the agreed terms. Refunds follow the Appolar Refund Policy.

Build-related third-party costs are not included: an Apple Developer Program membership and a Google Play Console fee are required by Apple and Google directly.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Appolar to build or distribute apps that:

  • Violate Apple's App Store Review Guidelines or Google Play's Developer Program Policies.
  • Violate Shopify's Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Sell prohibited goods (firearms, regulated drugs, counterfeit products, etc.).
  • Send push notifications without a lawful basis under applicable spam and consumer-protection law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, sublicense, or resell the Appolar platform itself.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, with or without notice depending on severity.

7. Intellectual property

  • Your content — your store data, brand assets, app configuration, and the resulting binary are yours.
  • Our platform — the Appolar templates, components, builder UI, backend, and source code are ours, licensed to you for use only via the Appolar service while your subscription is active.
  • The mobile app binary that Appolar produces for you is licensed royalty-free to ship under your brand on the App Store and Play Store. Active subscription required for ongoing updates and support.

8. Termination

You can uninstall Appolar from your Shopify admin at any time. Uninstall stops billing and revokes Appolar's access to your Shopify store. 48 hours later, Shopify fires the shop/redact webhook and we delete all data associated with your store (see the Privacy Policy).

Existing app binaries you've already submitted to the App Store and Play Store remain on those stores under your developer accounts. Appolar uninstall does not pull your app from the stores. You may continue to operate the binaries you have, but new builds and updates require an active subscription.

9. Warranty disclaimer

Appolar is provided “as is.” We do everything reasonable to keep the platform up, the builds passing, and the data safe, but we don't warrant uninterrupted service, App Store approval, or compatibility with every Shopify feature. App review decisions are Apple's and Google's to make, not ours.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appolar's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue or lost App Store rankings.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email and in the Shopify admin at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved by good-faith email exchange goes to the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
