Terms of service

The agreement between you and Appolar. Plain language, no traps. By using Appolar you agree to what follows.

Last updated: June 2026

Acceptance

By installing or using Appolar, you agree to these terms. If you are using Appolar on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that business. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

What Appolar provides

Appolar is a Shopify app that builds real native iOS and Android apps from your Shopify store. It includes a visual builder inside your Shopify admin, a live phone preview, per-screen layouts, push campaigns, and the build pipeline that compiles and submits your app to the App Store and Play Store. The shopping experience hands off to your real Shopify Checkout.

Plans and billing

Appolar offers a free Starter tier (the full builder, with no production builds), paid monthly plans, and a one-time Lifetime option with a per-build charge for future updates. All billing is handled through Shopify and appears on your regular Shopify invoice. Appolar does not process your payment card directly. Current pricing and what each plan includes are on the pricing page.

Your accounts and your app

You own your Apple Developer and Google Play accounts, your app listings, your reviews, and the compiled binaries published under your name. Appolar submits on your behalf using scoped, revocable access, but the published app belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your developer accounts in good standing and for the content and legal compliance of the app you publish to shoppers.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Appolar to build apps that are unlawful, that infringe someone else's intellectual property, that sell prohibited goods, or that violate the App Store, Play Store, or Shopify policies. You also agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or disrupt the Appolar platform itself.

Intellectual property

You keep all rights to your brand, your content, your catalog, and your store. Appolar keeps all rights to its own platform, builder, source code, and presets. Using Appolar does not transfer ownership of the platform to you, and building your app does not transfer ownership of your brand to Appolar.

Third-party platforms

Appolar depends on Shopify, Apple, and Google. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and their decisions (for example, an app store review outcome) are outside Appolar's control. Appolar cannot guarantee approval by Apple or Google, since that decision belongs to them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Appolar is provided as is, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appolar is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Appolar in the twelve months before the claim. Appolar is run by one developer and does not promise uninterrupted, error-free service.

Termination

You can cancel at any time from your Shopify admin. On cancellation, any binaries already published to your Apple and Google accounts stay live, because they are yours. You stop receiving new builds, OTA engine updates, and push delivery unless you are on the Lifetime plan, where the published app continues to run and new builds are available per the per-build charge. Appolar may suspend access for serious violations of these terms.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the platform evolves. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and material changes will be communicated rather than slipped in quietly.
