Why Appolar exists

Native apps drive a large share of ecommerce sales, but the two paths to getting one have always been bad for small and growing merchants. A custom build costs tens of thousands of dollars and months of agency time. The existing app builders are cheaper, but they take a cut of your revenue or keep the store listing on their own developer account, which means the app you depend on is never really yours.

Appolar takes a third path. You get a real native app that you own outright, for a flat price, built from inside the Shopify admin you already use every day. No revenue share. No per-install fee. No agency. You pick a preset, drop in your brand, and publish.

What "one developer" means for you

Every line of the Appolar platform and every support email comes from the same person. There is no offshore support desk reading from a script, no chatbot loop that never connects you to a human, no account-manager telephone game where your bug report gets relayed three times before it reaches someone who can fix it.

The honest trade-off: a single developer is not awake at every hour in every timezone. Replies typically land within a business day, not in thirty seconds. In exchange, the person answering actually understands the system, because they wrote it, and can usually act on what you need instead of filing a ticket and hoping.

How it is built

Appolar compiles React Native and Expo into genuine native binaries that get submitted to the App Store and Play Store. It is not a webview wrapping your mobile site. The builder lives directly in your Shopify admin, with a live phone preview that updates as you edit colors, fonts, and per-screen layouts. When a shopper checks out, the app hands off to the real Shopify Checkout, so your payment gateway, taxes, and compliance stay exactly as they are.

On the security side, Appolar talks to your store through scoped service keys, never your raw Shopify credentials, and the keys only cover what the app needs to read your catalog and place orders through checkout.

The promise

You own your Apple Developer and Google Play accounts. You own the listing, the reviews, the install graph, and the relationship with every shopper who downloads the app. Appolar submits on your behalf, but nothing about the app is held hostage on someone else's account.

If you ever uninstall Appolar, your app keeps running. The binary that is live in the stores is yours and does not stop working because you stopped paying. That is the whole idea: a real app you keep, not a rental you can never leave.
